Any Debian package contains "/usr/share/doc/<pkgname>/copyright"
which contains the copyright info.
Perhaps RPM has some way this information can be directly displayed using
rpm some_option pkgname.rpm
_without_ installing the package.
If that is the case, then this would be a good feature to recommend
to the "dpkg" maintainers.
