We have localized OpenOffice.org on Windows and Linux in Tamil, with about
98% translation completed. (The rest will be completed within a week)
On Windows, support for editing and complex text layout operations along
with Tamil locale data containing Currency and Calendar translations have
also been enabled.

Work on enabling editing support and Tamil locale data on Linux OO is
going on.
We are currently using the font "Latha.ttf" available in the MS Office
language pack for our localization and internationalization work. Since
"Latha" on Linux gives some errors during combination, we would like to
have inputs on better OpenType fonts for Tamil.
Any feedback/comments/suggestions on our work are also welcome.
