I am working on setting up a knowledge base for an organization.
Here are the required features.
1. The public can find information easily and efficiently.
A. Robust search on the site itself.
B. Searchable from the Web, e.g. Google.
C. More than one answer is available, and the leading answer is listed first.
2. The public can contribute to the information easily and efficiently.
A. Preferably, no membership required. However, we understand that
business requirements may override that.
B. When there is more than one answer, user votes determine the
ranking of the answers.
C. Users can earn credibility in the form of user points or some
similar mechanism.
3. The doc team and support team can contribute to the information
easily and efficiently.
A. Each admin team member can do admin tasks, such as approving,
removing, promoting and demoting posts (overriding the user voting
mechanism).
B. Each doc team member can also function as a standard member of the site.
C. We can import an arbitrary number of FAQ items at once, from XML
source. This is a rare event, but must be expected to happen from time
to time and must be supported.
Explored phpMyFAQ and OSQA. They are not meeting all the expectations.
I wish to to setup this with Drupal.
Is it possible to use drupal for this requirement?
What are the required modules?
Please share your suggestions.
