Dear Friends,
In one of my system when I try to set or get the hwclock it throws me an
error
select() to /dev/rtc to wait for clock tick timed out
So the system is not getting synchronised from the BIOS.
I added the parameters in /etc/default/rcS and the parameter is as
follows
HWCLOCKPARS=--directisa
And also I set the UTC to no
Now during the bootup it is not throwing any error. But then we are
not able to set the hwclock to system clock manually. If we want to set
it manually we have to unload the rtc and load the genrtc.
Is there any way of loading the genrtc module instead of rtc ?
Thanks in advance .
