but Sathyan's problem was not with apache but with the php shell. so you
need not restart your webserver.

But still to serve the http request in case of any changes in php.ini,
needlessly we are supposed restart the server. Fine?

Sorry sathyan, still your problem is unsolved. Let someone else to try
solve it.
