Dear ILugC,
I recently face a problem. I had taken Net4India Broadband
Connection. But I can't acesses Internet through My GNU/Linux.
Net4India Working in WinXX:
When the system get booted, my network card get an IP through the DHCP
Server running on their private IP 10.32.0.2 and I will get an IP
10.32.0.84 . but, to get net access I had to use a dialler provided by
the Net4India services, Where I have to give my username and password.
After logging; I can access the net. my IP will be 10.32.0.84 and my
DHCP server, DNS and my Gateway will be 10.32.0.2 .
Net4India Working in GNU/Linux:
When the system get booted in GNU/Linux. My Network card assigns the
IP number 10.32.0.84 through the DHCP protocol making the DNS and the
Default Gateway as 10.32.0.2. But If I try to browse it shows an error
message from the server 10.32.0.2, the error is Internal Server Error
I think the http error code is 504, also my exim or fetchmail is not
working.
1)Is there any method to 'authenticate' the DHCP server, even after I
get assigned an IP?
2)What can be the problem? Like are they blocking my connection using
any cgi scripts?
3)Is any body using the Net4India Connection through GNU/Linux Box?
Please do help me. Thanks in Advance.
