Hi
In my system I proceeded to install ubuntu 5.10 in a 10gb FAT32 partition which
is empty (no data). The installer proceeded upto Parition disk stage.
I Choose Manually edit partition table option.
The next screen showed the existing
IDE1 Master (hda)- 40 gb ............
It did not list the already existing
C: NTFS(10),
D: FAT(10)
E: FAT(10),
ext3(MDK) and swap(10)
partitions. I was a little scared. So I stopped proceeding furhter and rebooted.
I did expect that will list all the existing partitions in the hdd So that I
can choose the empty fat partition and create ext3 file system with / mount
point to proceed the installation.
Will it list the partitions if I select the HDD listed and enter once again?
Should I delete FAT32 partition first before creating ext3?
Please clarify.
