Actually, it's a pretty old hack, it's been there almost ever since
Gmail started. If I'm not wrong, it's also been published in the book
"Google Hacks" by O'Reilly. For windows, there's one "GMail Drive" which
lets you use Gmail as your internet back-up device. Pretty nifty. Google
must be certainly aware of this. I think it's a good example of Google's
"do no evil" philosophy.
