Actually, Norton/Symantec ghost supports ext3...There is no Server
concept...Ghost can create a bootable floppy that can access a network
share with your image in it...

New versions of symantec ghost can take image of your linux box. But I think
there is no server from Symantec side.

Gopu

Hi,
I recently(about 4 days ago) bought BSNL's Broadband connection. I
didn't install the rpm's given in the cd of theirs b'cos i had much
newer rpm (there's rpm was rp-pppoe-3.5-1.i386.rpm & mine was
rp-pppoe-3.5-22.i386.rpm). So i ran /usr/sbin/adsl-setup which asked
some basic questions & i answered them. It worked fine. Then i
mistakenly re-ran the scripts which produced some .bak files & then i
deleted those files. Now i am unable to connect to the internet
through my desktop pc. But it works fine under windows xp of my
notebook PC. I am using FC3 with Realtek RTL8139D based 100/10 PCI
based ethernet card. During boot up i find message "bringing up
interface eth0 [failed]" and message that follow it is "bringing up
ppp0 [failed]". The text in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ppp0
seems to be ok.
with regards,
ashwin

Ghosting takes the copies the exact replica of one hard disk to another.
This is useful if u have hundred systems and when u would like to
install a specific operatin system in all with the same applications
