I think we could run a parallel session here in chennai. A place to
come together and a reliable connection for live streaming could
connect us.
Any volunteers? I can help organizing it. Any offers for the venue? A
single broadband for the streaming would be the bare minimum
requirement.

Hi All,
We plan on having a workshop for entry level developers and enthusiasts, and
anyone else who is interested.
It will be a day of learning/working and socialising.
The event will happen on the 9th of October (2011) from 1.00pm Brisbane time
- which should be about 9am for those of you in .LK/.IN
For those who cannot attend it in person we will have google hangouts and a
skype channel open to join in on the fun! :)
We will also try to record screencasts of the event for those who are unable
to make it; but we really want you to join us for fun and socialising as
well!
If your in Brisbane you do get free food and beverages (it's on me) <-
Interested yet? :P (Sydney-siders grab that low fare flight, it will be
worth it!)
The agenda is as follows (length of presentation may change):
1. GitHub Introduction and Basics usage workshop (30mins).
2. Qt Compiler Basics of Interface and Compiling e-kalappai project (30mins)
Lunch Break
3. Introduction to current status of some thamizha projects (30mins)
4. Hackathon Start
- Ideas and Brainstorming session
- Forming working teams
- Working on project
Tea Break
5. We will finish of with some more talks and socialising over dinner
(unfortunately not available online :P).
Please join us for this event... and even if you are not able to be
physically there, maybe you can team up with local friends and have your own
"international event" alongside us.
If there is demand for it... I will be happy to bring the event to Melbourne
and Sydney as well; or you can do it for your own city/town/place.
Please show us interest... so we can add more topics or features if you
request it.
We are open to suggestions. Hopefully this will be first of many
workshops+hackathons.
