I remember using something called "apt-show-versions".
Example:
apt-show-versions -p autoconf -a
output:
autoconf 2.61-8 install ok installed
autoconf 2.61-8 lenny ftp.us.debian.org
autoconf/lenny uptodate 2.61-8
This works fine. Thanks. I found out that 'apt-cache showpkg' command
also gives some sort of information regarding the repository from
where the package was installed.
Thank you.
