In fedora the /etc/fstab contains the LABEL= as the first field

searches for a partition with label /. It appears that two partitions
have lable named /. There are two ways of rectifying
a. Change in /etc/fstab (under fedora) LABEL=/ with /dev/hdan, hdan
stands for the partition where root(fedora) file system resides.
Hmmm I too meddled with the above LABELs and things when I was stuck
up with the problem but the real thing lies in the initrd image not
mentioned for FCx system in the menu.lst which debian created :) May
be this will be solved in etch...
