[Ilugc] EU Software patents directive crushed!

P.S. We still need to be on guard to ensure that this is not sneakily
introduced in India.
My regard for the Communist Party of India greatly increased after
they shot down the software patents proposal a few months back. But
the manner in which they obstruct each and every proposal of the govt
am not very sure that they did it with the good of the society in mind
:-)
The strong support that the s/w patent proposal got from the IT
biggies in India (Infosys, TCS, etc) is worrying. So it makes sense to
be on guard lest it gets introduced sneakily - even without the Left's
knowledge!
Could the lawyer who frequents this list throw more light on how to be on guard?
