I'd totally second the recommendation of Dillo for small-footprint desktops
and handhelds. The SRPM is very small, and it's pure C.
I'll modify my opinion and add that SSL support is preliminary and disabled
by default in Dillo, so you may have to do some minor hacks if you want to
access secure content. Other than that, it's nearly perfect.
