Debian has kept up its promise again!
Yes, I installed Debian Sarge and as usual, X
is not working again.
My system is Celeron900MHz,128MB RAM
Intel 815e chipset(Kobian) Mobo.
It has win98 and RH9(With working X) already.
After the second phase, an error message appeared
to indicate problem with GDM

GDM: X server not found !
/usr/X11R6/bin/x : 0 -audit 0 -auth
/var/lib/gdm/ : 0 .Xauth -nolisten tcp vt7
Error: command could not be executed.
Please install X server or edit /etc/gdm.conf to point
to the right place

Since gdm.conf is a 20k file, I am not quoting it here.
Usually XF86Config file is placed in /etc/X11 dir. But in Sarge
it was not seen.
Then as root, I ran xf86config and it built an XF86Config file
and put it in /etc/X11 directory. Still X would not work.
Initially it starts off from .Xauthority file, but after
the error, I see that the file is having 0 bytes.
Here also startx will not make x work with error msg
/usr/lib/X11R6/bin/xinit/xiniitrc - No such file or directory
and one more error msg which I could not capture.
What could be wrong?
Any pointers please?
