Hai,
I have configured dns(bind9.x) on rh8.0 for my LAN.I
also have some dns slave which will be the name
servers for my dns clients. It works fine.But I am
facing a small issue.
Issue:
If I do telnet from host B to host A without FDQN, it
takes some time to get resolved.Some other utilities
like ping,dns lookup query gets the name resolved
without any delay.
If I use 'telnet A.xyz.com', then it gets resolved
without any delay.
The dns client config files like /etc/resolv.conf,
/etc/hosts.conf & /etc/nsswitch.conf are fine
I am facing this issue for some clients only.
What may be the problem?
