Linux Systems/Network Engineer (1 Position)
We are looking for talented Linux Systems/Network Admins to be part of
our fast-paced Operations team.
Responsibilities:
-Administer hybrid systems running windows, linux and bsd OS.
Network administration of multisite environment consisting of dsl/leased
line connections, router, switches, gateways, EPBX systems, VoIP,
network printers.
-Server administration of ssh, dhcp, dns, nis, apache, tomcat, svn servers.
-Trouble shoot systems issues, provide technical support to the
developers with accounts setup, svn, system configuration etc.
-Write/enhance scripts to automate systems/network setup and
administration
-Monitor and maintain production infrastructure, be on call on rotation
basis to provide 24x7 support
-Vendor relationship management, IT purchase , change management.
Qualifications:
-Strong knowledge of Linux including configuration, shell, file system,
cron, etc. a must.
-Programming/scripting experience in shell/perl/python or similar
language a plus
-Strong knowledge of Internet and Web technologies (HTML, DNS, HTTP,
cookies, email, web servers, etc.) a must.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills & troubleshooting skills
-Strong work ethic including teamwork, initiative, flexibility, and
reliability
-Prior experience being on call 24/7 supporting a hosting environment
-Must be willing to work in shifts
-Bachelors in computer related field a must
