Detailed technical specification :-
Good knowledge :Linux (Redhat, preferably):-
Should have done multiple customised linux
installations.
Clear understanding of linux and its coding.
Knowledge of the following on linux:-
Shell scripts : tcl, perl
Editors : vi, emacs
Http servers : Aolserver, Apache
Servlet container : Tomcat
Databases:-
Should have good knowledge of SQL
Oracle 8.1.6 or above on linux: installation,basic administration
PostgreSql 7.1.x : installation,basic administration
Programming:-
Should be able to understand and modify existing codes.
Should understand capabilities and strengths of each language and use them
optimally to satisfy the requirements.
Languages on linux : TCL, Perl, C, C++, Java
Browser based : html, Javascript
Basic prequalification : Must be at least a graduate engineer
(BE/BS/BTech) in comp science or an MCA
Experience: should possess at least 1 year's relevant work experience
· written communication skills in English should be good (will be tested)
· code maintenance documentation standards if known are an added advantage
· experience in training/teaching relevant topics is also being weighted
· strong ability to communicate with customers, colleagues and users
· good and clear understanding of tcp/ip - principles, protocols &
architecture
