[Ilugc] Cannot boot ubuntu

hi all,

I have successfully installed,WinXp and ubuntu 6.06 on my old ibm desktop.
now i am not able to boot ubuntu after installation, but WinXP boots smoothy.
Can anybody help me to trace & solve the problem.
