[Ilugc] BSNL connection timeouts

Lucky you.
I was not able to connect to BSNL for the past 10
days. The telephone line was ok, but, the WAN and
PPPOE port didn't blink at all. Thought it was a
problem with the exchange. I guess its somewhat fixed
now. Been calling 16004241600 daily.
Now I still get :
/usr/sbin/adsl-start: line 194: 3952 Terminated
$CONNECT "$@" > /dev/null 2>&1
but, I do get an IP address and I am able to browse
the Internet! Strange, but, true :)
