[Ilugc] Apostrophe display in firefox

Can anyone please tell me why " ' ", apostrophe, is getting displayed as "
? " in firefox browser. How can I rectify this? Im trying to get a few CGI
This is not a problem with firefox but with documents created using m$
word... Word considers it wise to replace quotes by what it calls
"smart quotes" (sic), where in a new character is replaced for the
starting and an another for the ending quote. This is not standard and
hence not all fonts support these characters (only the coding system
and ms' fonts in windows display them properly). The best solution for
this would be to use `tidy' with appropriate options to replace the
documents with less smarter, but saner quotes ;)
