I am trying to install Websphere App. Server 5.1 (WAS 5.1) on CentOS
5. I have successfully installed on it (after installing libXP and
compact rpms). But, when I try to start the server it says
libthread.so not found.
After a bit of googling, I found that WAS 5.1 is built with
LinuxThreads and does not support NPTL. I also got from the release
notes of RHEL 4 that there will be no support for LinuxThreads from
RHEL 5. Even using LD_ASSUME_KERNEL will not work under RHEL/CentOs 5.
So, is there a solution to run old applications built using
LinuxThreads to work under RHEL/CentOs 5.
For mysql , there is workaround like this -> at http://bugs.mysql.com/2173
echo '/* Linuxthreads */' >> /usr/include/pthread.hHope it helps
regards,
