Hello all
i attempted to install slamd64 on a HP Proliant ML350. This uses CCISS compaq
smart array for Linux Software Raid (RAID 1 - mirrored SCSI HDDs in my case)
On reboot , am sent into mode asking to login as root and repair the FS.
Is there a total incompatibilty between a 32-bit Linux software RAID and 64-bit
OS?
I see a possible resolution for XFS system, at
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=285858
I am using ext3 as the filesystem. Is there an equivalent way of attempting the
solution as per the above thread?
The hardware is certified to work with Linux 2.6.5+ kernels, so i fiugured it
shld work. Centos x86_64 current runs fine on it.
Thanks and regards
devafree
