We are now keenly aware how delusional it is to assume. And so we realize that
not every one of you might be sharing in our grief right now. If that is the
case, just delete this message.
But to the rest of you, to the rest of us: we need to express our sadness this
morning.
Maybe this will be a galvanizing time. Maybe we can build new alliances, expand
our ideas of who is disenfranchised, try to find commonalities. But right now
this seems really hard, and frankly, really disappointing.
Regardless: it is clear that there is much work to be done, and we are glad we
get to contextualize this work with you.
