Art Night at The Southern Letterpress!
Thursday, March 7 from 5 to 9 p.m.
The press will be set up for the public to print the words of poet Samuel Gray,
recipient of The Song of the Yellow Hammer 2013, and the illustrations of Ms.
Emily Conner. This collectable broadside is part of The Southern's Art Night
Broadside Portfolio.
Come try out letterpress printing! Free, open to the public and for one night
only!

About the Art Night Broadside Series
On Art NIght at The Southern Letterpress, everyone is invited to print a free
broadside on the Vandercook printing press. This broadside is designed in
advance, handset in metal type and usually features some kind of imagery in
addition to the text. Frequent visitors to The Southern's Art Night will
accumulate a complete portfolio of letterpress-printed broadsides. The goal of
this project is to increase the public's access to printing history, creative
writing and art ownership
Our Spring Hours in Northport:
closed Monday
Tuesday 2 to 6 p.m.
Wednesday: variable
Thursday & Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
