We use our own custom Perl script, however when you install V15.7 look in the PCB utilities -----Original Message----- From: icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Man Tran Sent: Thursday, November 15, 2007 12:50 PM To: icu-pcb-forum@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [PCB_FORUM] Re: Switching between two versions of Allegro PCB If you use this technique on a PC, search online for "setx" program which can be used to set Environment Variables. Very convenience when use it in a batch file to switch between versions. -man -----Original Message----- From: icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Macindoe, Gary Sent: Thursday, November 15, 2007 10:34 AM To: icu-pcb-forum@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [PCB_FORUM] Re: Switching between two versions of Allegro PCB Thanks Mike, I'll give it a try. If your in unix enviroment, check with your IT support person. (a startup script may be required) ========================================================== In my case I would change the "CDSROOT" variable From: D:\Cadence\SPB_15.5.1 To: D:\Cadence\SPB_15.7 Regards, Mike Finczak CopperCAD Design www.CopperCAD.com 905-488-8958 ________________________________ From: icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Macindoe, Gary Sent: Thursday, November 15, 2007 12:55 PM To: icu-pcb-forum@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [PCB_FORUM] Switching between two versions of Allegro PCB Hey guys, I remember this being discussed in the past, having two versions of Allegro PCB loaded, then switching between them. I am on 15.5.1 (will probably go up to 15.7 soon), and might need to load in a 16.0 board now and then. Could someone tell me what you need to do to switch between the two versions? I'm guessing pointing to two versions of env files, right? Thanks for any help! Gary Gary E.
