Looking for opinions on this and to see how others are doing
these.
Our CAD group has gotten into discussions as to whether or not
we should be
doing solid power/ground planes as positives. As a long time
Allegro user I've
been accustomed to doing solid planes as negatives and static,
though lately
Ive been making these planes negative/dynamic to take advantage
of voiding of
route keepouts on certain layers.
So could I find out if anyone is going with databases that are
all positives as far
as layers are concerned? And any comments Pro or Con as to
using this method.
thanks,
Mike Gnieski
