Hi all,
I've seen and used two different kinds of USB keyboards, and unfortunately, I can't remember the name of either one. I've used a rubberized USB keyboard that a friend had; it rolled up very small. The cord was built right in, and I liked that feature. There was no way to keep the keyboard flat, so you had to put it on a table or other hard surface. I didn't like the action of typing on this keyboard, and made lots of mistakes. I could see the rubberized texture of this keyboard collecting lots of dog hair and lint, but it also seems like it would be easy to wipe off. I own a folding keyboard. It folds into a fairly compact square shape. I like the action better as it seems more like that of a standard keyboard. It has a lock switch so it can be made rigid for use on a lap or other surface. The keyboard came with a retractable cable which was, I thought, very cool. Unfortunately, after two or so uses, the retracting mechanism broke, so now I just wrap the cord around the keyboard when it is folded. If anyone needs the names of these keyboards, let me know, and I'll do some fishing. I know they're buried somewhere in a friend's LiveJournal. (smile)
