I'm noticing that nothing is tagged correctly but there aren't any crashes. I ripped the songs from CD and copied them in windows explorer. None of the songs have any name but track number. Did you copy them into the Music folder or the Library folder? You would want to put them into Music folder, then go to the Songs option and Update the Music catalog. If you're adding a bunch of things at once, it's important to wait until it's finnished before trying to start the player. It will crash, if you don't. If the songs are not tagged correctly, you will run into trouble. Also, if you accidentally ripped some JPG files or wave files during the process, it'll crash. So, you might open file explorer or open the Music Folder on the PC and look through there and see if anything's amiss and delete any problematic files. If that is not the problem, then you'll need to go through and make sure everything is tagged correctly: artist, song title, album title, etc. Hope that helps! (I just copied and pasted them, I didn't use Icon sync.) The music player does not see them, although I can play them just fine if I go thr ough the file manager. And now, when I try to update the library, it periodically kicks me back to applications menu with no warning. (Which reminds me, is there an error log somewhere that I can look at? If it's just that the updater is choking on a particular file, I can go delete it.) I've got more than 1200 songs, so I was also wondering if there was an upper limit to the number of files the update could handle. Any suggestions or thoughts? Thanks.
