I'd love to see eventually a way to brouse all appointments regardless of
day.

Browse by appointment only shows you the appointments available on a given
day. It is available so that you can look through multiple appointments for
a given day rather than seeing only the next upcoming appointment on a given
day as shows up in Status. It doesn't work like the Journal where browsing
by entry, allows you to browse all entries regardless of date.
