Anders:

With one major exception (C_comp) and a few minor ones, all
parameters related to [Model] (including [Temperature Range]
are ordered according to typ, min, max where min creates slow-weak,
responses and max creates fas-strong responses. For CMOS the
weakest slowest condition at max temperature, and the fastest,
strongest condition occurs at min temparature. Thus temperature
is out of order for CMOS.

For older bi-polar technology, the min temperature creates the
slowest. weakest condition.

As an added note, the [Temperature Range] is optional, but it
provides useful information regarding the conditions under which
the model data was extracted. So you know if you are dealing
with a commerical range or a more extreme military case range.
[Temperature Range] is informational and not usese in IBIS
model simulations.

For all other situations including C_comp, the parameters
are ordered by numerical values directly in the typ, min, max
slots. There are some cases such as for for negative voltage
entries that the numerical ordering is by absolute value.)

So the model is correct and it indirectly tells you that the
underlying technology was probably CMOS.

In the IBIS spec as I can read it it says that typ, min, max should be in numerical order that is smallest value in min and largest in max.

There are some exceptions of IV table VT tables that can cross during the table.

But is [Temprature Range] an exception ? I very often see [Temprature Range] define as mid value firts as typ and largest value as min and last smallest value as max ?

Reading the IBIS spec strictly this is an error ? or is it ?

Any comments
