Call for IBIS related patent disclosures:
- None
Call for opens:
- None
Review of previous meeting minutes:
Mike LaBonte said the minutes of the Aug 14 meeting have date issues, and may
not have been sent yet. Need to investigate and get caught up.
ARs:
- AR: Mike LaBonte to see if IBISCHK 6.1 forbids improper [Pullup/down] for
Open_* Model_type
- Done. The code shows that all Open_* and IO_Open_* types are checked.
- AR: Mike LaBonte to check previous meeting minutes and send.
- Aug 7 minutes were sent twice, on Aug 7 and 13.
- Having IT troubles, need to check Aug 14 minutes and send.
- AR: Bob Ross to ask Jose Godoy for his title.
- Done.
New IBISCHK bugs:
- No new bugs.
IBISCHK615:
Bob Ross said a draft contract has been written. Laurie Strom from SAE ITC
forwarded
it to legal for review. They have a new contract template. We will see what
changes
they will recommend. We might seek to use the existing contract if there are
extensive
delays. The final delivery date is Sep 26 in the contract, but that would
change
if start is delayed. We will change to Oct 5 for now. It should take about 6
weeks,
including testing and message spreadsheet update. We will do acceptance testing
after.
IBISCHK700 parser development:
Bob Ross said this contract might also need to change. For example "Chris
Denham"
must change to "Jose Godoy", and "6.1.4" to "6.1.5". We must fix "SAE
International"
in one place. We might possibly need to use a new template. Mike LaBonte said
we have
had some duplication of content between the body and appendices. We might
review what
goes into each part. It would be good to keep technical content in the
appendices.
Bob showed the draft IBISCHK615 contract. He said it does not fully describe
the bugs
to be fixed. Mike suggested changing the delivery deadline to Oct 12.
Bob noted that the source code license contract boilerplate is obsolete.
It will be submitted for legal review after the other review is done.
Mike said we should consider setting an expectation that we would charge for
the 7.1
source code licenses, if/when the time comes. Bob noted that we put some bug
fixes
into the minor releases. Mike said we would then feel pressure to have
additional
bug fix iterations, such as 6.1.5. Bob proposed that N.N IBIS releases would
not have
new features, would be limited to clarifications that do not affect the parser.
Mike
noted that if 7.1 had no functional changes, a 7.1.0 parser would have little
meaning,
and it might be 7.0.1. Bob said Michael Mirmak had suggested having no minor
IBIS
releases. The release number would be a date.
Mike LaBonte moved to adjourn. Bob Ross seconded. Without objection the
meeting ended.
Meeting ended: 12:04 ET
