New IBISCHK bugs:
Mike LaBonte showed bug202.txt.
Lance Wang said an Input model should not have C_comp_pullup, but IBISCHK
overlooks
that. The testcase file passes, but there should be a note about the
unnecessary
C_comp_pullup. Bob Ross said IBIS had a rule that C_comp must be the sum of
the other
C_comp_* subparameters, and if all 4 are present C_comp is not required. Mike
said
the testcase had only 2, so it should fail. He noted that these checks are to
alert
model makers when they might have gotten something wrong. Bob suggested a new
check
for this could be a caution. Lance suggested it could be a note, which does not
require an option to appear.
IBISCHK700 parser development:
Bob Ross noted that we will have a vote in the next Open Forum meeting to spend
the
money for IBISCHK700 development. The agreement calls for a June delivery.
Atul could
theoretically start work before it has all signatures. SAE ITC has approved
the latest
agreement draft. We will point out the open source restriction clause when we
send it.
Mike LaBonte said some types open source code could be accepted, which is why
we require
only our approval. Bob suggested we might run the code through some open
source code
detector software.
Bob said we should follow up with SAE ITC about legal review of the parser
purchase
agreement, but it should use the new template first.

Bob noted that we had previously discussed raising the parser purchase price. We
could begin invoicing for the parser before it is available. Mike said 5
parsers at
$2500 each would bring $12500, which we had estimated to be close to the
expected total
lifecycle cost. Bob said a major new feature like EMD in 7.1 might increase
that cost,
noting that With each release, parser purchasers get code for every IBIS
version.
Mike showed the previous meeting minutes draft, noting that total lifecycle cost
for IBISCHK6 was $17.450, including both IBIS 6.0 and 6.1. He said that if we
had
7 purchases at $2,500 each the $17,450 cost would be covered. Bob said we had

current parser purchasers. Lance said it is not certain that $2,500 would be
enough,
asking if we could charge for intermediate releases such as 7.1. Bob felt it
would
be better not to go through the billing cycle each time.
Mike felt a rudimentary IBIS-ISS checker should be built into IBISCHK.
Bob disagreed, saying it should be a separate program.

Review of previous meeting minutes:
Minutes from the March 12 meeting were reviewed.
Bob Ross moved to approve the minutes. Mike LaBonte seconded.
Without objection the minutes were approved.
ARs:
- Bob Ross to update bugdir.txt and regenerate IBISCHK BUG page.

New IBISCHK bugs:
- Lance Wang had sent a new bug. It will be discussed in a future meeting
when Lance is available. The bug involves extra information a user
normally would not add. It might be a valid caution check.
IBISCHK700 parser development:
Bob Ross showed IBISCHK700 Parser Development Agreement draft 17. A few small
changes were made
and it was saved as draft 18. Bob noted that we need to decide the parser
purchase
price, which is currently $2,500. We probably will have 4 or 5 purchases.
Mike said
we need to fund then entire life-cycle of IBISCHK7. which may include a 7.1
release and
possibly other minor releases such as 7.0.1. We do not charge for those but we
must
pay the developer again. One option might be to charge for 7.1. Another would
be to
not have 7.1, and jump to 8.0. Bob felt EMD would warrant an 8.0 release. We
looked
up parser development costs for the various IBISCHK6.x releases:

- IBISCHK6.1.0 $3,800

Total: $17,450
Mike suggested assuming there would be no 7.1, and therefore the total
development
cost for 7.0 could be estimated at $12500. With 5 purchases at $2500 the cost
would
be exactly covered. Bob said we could have other unanticipated costs,
suggesting a
purchase price of $3000. He added that the next version might be 8.0, not 7.1,
with
the addition of EMD.

ended.
