------------------------------- MINUTES -------------------------------------
Bob Ross conducted the meeting.
Call for IBIS related patent disclosures:
- None
Call for opens:
- Weston Beal sent an email to the task group regarding figure 18 or 19
reference in v7.1 specification.
Review of previous meeting minutes:
Minutes from the 05 JUL 2022 meeting were reviewed. Randy Wolff moved to
approve the minutes. Bob Ross seconded. Without objection the minutes were
approved.
AR review:
- Randy Wolff provided a link to a power-aware IBIS example.
New ARs:
- Lance Wang to look for some power-aware IBIS examples for discussion of the
quality checklist.
- Bob will reply to Atul's questions about the parser development quote.
- Randy will add the editorial issue around reference to figure 18 in
specification v7.1 to the known issues document.
NEW ITEMS:
Bob sent the contract draft5 to Atul to develop v7.1 parser. Atul replied with
3 questions for clarification before he submits the quote for the development
work.
a) Bug 225. Is the reverse also true, ie, if list_tip entries are same
then the corresponding list values have to be the same too?
- Yes
b) Bug 229: Are we planning to allow UNC paths when referencing other
files in ibis files? If so, that would be a major change. Also the spec
might need an update. However, if we just want to get rid of the system()
calls then it is simpler.
- the specification specifically does not support UNC paths. The parser
should issue an error and not attempt to open a file referenced with a UNC
path.
c) Bug 233: I guesss the fix is to bypass the check instead.
- No. the parser should issue a warning or error and not stop the program
execution.
Bob commented that we decided to wait on the tschk2 development until we have
an actual bug to fix.
The task group discussed a typo in the specification v7.1 reported in email by
Weston in the past week. The group confirmed that the issue is a typo and
should be corrected so the text references figure 19.
Bob continued the discussion of ISSO and composite current tables for
power-aware simulation. Relevant to the composite current, the inclusion of
current through [Power Clamp] table is controlled by the data in the [Pin
Mapping] table.
Tabled topics (no discussion without motion):
- IBISCHK security fixes
Weston moved to adjourn. Bob seconded. Without objection the meeting ended.
Meeting ended: 12:59 ET
