Michael,

We discussed the PAM4_Mapping parameter clarification issue,

and that needs to be cleaned up.

Here are some editorial cleanup suggestions:

1. pg. 113, and beyond. Change TreeRootName to RootName or Root to avoid
mis-leading line-wrap in all the parameters examples

2. pg. 179, While correct, in the example, the (Description .) examples line
wrap to the first column. In the second (Description ..),

and the next parameter (OP_mode .) is tabbed to a new location on the
description line.

(Change the formatting so the wrapped lines of (Description are indented
under (Description .0, and the next parameter is properly

indented.

3. pg. 189, the declarations of AMI_Resolve should all be aligned under
AMI_Resolve for consistent formatting.

4. pg. 206, the Other Notes: heading should be included (even if empty for
consistent formatting with other parameters).

This may occur in other places.

5. 10.6 MODULATION RESERVED PARAMETERS should begin on new page

6. pg. 229, line gaps in the Descriptors list for several parameters
(Modulation, PAM4_Mapping, etc.)

7. pg. 232 big gap at bottom before next parameter starts on next page.

8. pg. 237, table 26 - reduce font sizes to avoid column heading word wraps
(e.g., Table 32).

Other note, it might be nice for have defaults as 0.0 for Float and UI Types
(not Integer).

However, this might not be worth looking at every table and parameter.

Michael,

Nice job.

Here are two technical corrections.

Page 231: PAM4_Mapping parameter: On the bullet list, level 2 = binary 10
and level 3 = binary 11.

Pages 236, 244, Tables 24, 30): There are no Defaults for
PAM4_UpperThreshold and

PAM4_LowerThreshold. These parameters are required if "PAM" for is
specified. (Only

PAM4_CenterThreshold has a default value of 0.0, if missing.)

I have other editorial comments, suggestions that can be covered real-time
at our next meeting.

Bob
