The tests actually download a file, measure the time
taken for each packet to arrive, and be written to
storage media.  

So, yes, buss speeds of the media are a contributory
aspect to the overall speed.

I know, my tests are really faster on all my Linux
machines that are lower mhz cpu speed, than on the
lone Microsoft XP Pro system, partially due to the
archaic "legasy OS" that is Microsoft.  The Microsoft
XP Pro system is on one firewall router port, while
all the other 94 systems are on the other router port.
 

Yes, I switched (reversed them), and the same results
hold true.
