I had a Kahr P40 and it HURT to shoot. Accurate as a mutha, reliable as
sunrise, but OUCH. I cannot begin to contemplate how painful the subcompact .40
would be. The compact one I had was plenty bad enough.
Perhaps a SIG 239 in Foh-tay?
Glock 36 in a Mika holster? May be bulky but is well regarded.
I love my J-frame- very accurate but takes practice to become proficient at
distance.

any slab side semi gives better easier concealment then revolver and both have

I was suggest the Kahrs as well. The small 9mm looks great, pockets well, and
is well made. That said, if a deep concealment pocket gun is what you want
then consider the simplicity and reliability of a small S&W hammerless snubby
in 38+P. Five rounds of that should solve most any problem you find yourself
in. And you could get it "air light" made of titanium and aluminum.

Need to purchase a pocketable, probably single stack pistol for car and
(pocket) carry in FL. Though I'm not likely to encounter a bear, I
would like one in a caliber that starts with a "4." I'm able to
purchase in FL, so not restricted by MA idiota list. Any suggestions?
