[homeclinic] circuit breakers

I have a 5-ton air conditioner powered by a 50-amp circuit breaker. When the
A/C starts up, the circuit breaker buzzes very loud for about half a second.
It seems that this is not good for the circuit breaker. What is causing this
and what can be done to correct this?
