Happy Thanksgiving! As we enter this Thanksgiving and holiday season we are very
thankful for the Lord's protection, mercy and love. We witnessed His hands at
work these past few months while traveling in Israel and West Bank. Our 5 weeks
in Israel were indescribable. So many people were reached thru our teams that
traveled to be with us. From evangelism to cleaning homes, we were able to bless
the people in our churches and communities. We ask for your prayers over a
Muslim man that Daniel has formed a friendship with, his name is Ahmed. He
invited us over to his home where we spent time having supper and tea with his
family. Please pray that the seed of the Gospel we have sown will take root and
grow. We have a large number of former Muslims in our churches today and many
more are being reached daily thru the HLM ministries. Also, this trip we made
more connections with Messianic Jews. Please pray with us as we cultivate these
relationships and have more opportunities to bless and serve them. Many
Messianic Jews are persecuted for their faith by their fellow Jewish neighbors
for simply believing that Jesus is the Messiah. We would like to share with you
a very important need for one of our HLM ministries. Our Bethlehem Star Academy
Youth Center in Beit Sahour offers free tutoring and after school care for
families in the community. The program uses this opportunity to reach out and be
the hands and feet of Jesus to those in need. Many children come here after
school for tutoring/homework assistance and some simply come for food and
supervision because their parents are at work. We also offer programs for older
youth that help prepare them for the work field. These programs are computer
courses, Salon certificates and music lessons. Thru this ministry we are given
the opportunity to give the Gospel to the children and their parents, many of
whom are Muslim. Unfortunately, we are struggling each month to keep the doors
open. The cost for rent, utilities and food is $600 a month. The building we are
renting is in need of repair and maintenance, which the landlord will not cover.
We are also wanting to expand with a playground that would be safe and provide
exercise for the children, but this requires funds that we do not have. I am
asking you to pray and consider partnering with us as a monthly supporter for
this ministry. Possibly your Bible group, friends or church could adopt this
