Hey gang,

deal is running Mint-Mate 12.04, like it a lot. I never did wireless anything
but mouse. now I want to hook up security cams & I bought 4 cams & receiver
China generic cams are Hamy 4 N 2.4ghz receiver is usb ch1:2414mhz, ch2:2432,
ch3:2450, ch4:2468.

I installed cheese but it not find the device here is lsusb with & without it
plugged in so...Bus 002 Device 006: ID 1b71:3002 reveals no info on the thing
so how do I set it up so I can see the cam(s) what progs do I need installed to
use this stuf I want to mount the cams in one location viewing 4 angles this
also sees IR & each cam has 6leds for night vision each has wall wart or a 9v
battery I have power where I wish to mount them so will use the wall warts.

I am trying to wrap head roun how this works. I suppose I will need to install
a driver that grabs the signal in one of those 4 frequences & feeds it to a
streaming recorder. Would that be cheese? I opened the additional drivers
console but it found no drivers but the sys is not seeing the device as a cam
receiver I went to Mint found drivers for Mint but I dunno what driver to DL
nor how to attach it to this device. I email the vendor ask if Linux driver is
available, waiting to hear.

I would say that I am lost & confused! Herb needs sorting out here is lsusb
info & receiver specs
