I've skimmed and it looks good.
And for whatever it's worth, re-installing "XP Media Center 2000 or
whatever" on Clyde's laptop still required installing a lot of drivers.
Ubuntu 6 (2 versions old!) booting from a freaking CD seemed to have
/everything/ working. I don't have any wireless networking stuff so
that is an unknown. Simply amazing.
Not saying to get rid of XP or Vista. Just saying to try Ubuntu...
running off of a CD... play with it and stretch your mind.
