It seems like it did not find the responder 2001:001a:2a72:f01c:d98e:311c:c76a:57c4 from the name look up infrastrusture, so it is just broadcasting I1 to the local network. At the Initiator, you should be able to see the broadcast with:

Oleg just clarified that actually the responder that the initiator contact is one of the name look up servers (aeris.infrahip,net).

Can you trigger HIP by..

1. starting only hipd (no hipfw, no dnsproxy)
2. hipconf add map <peer-hit> <peer-ip>
3. ping6 <peer-hit>
4. check output of "hipconf get ha all" after that
