As said earlier, in its current state HIP_EAE should not be merged. At least,
all HIP_IFEL(1, ...) should be replaced before merging. Otherwise, we will have
a too low visibility of HIP_ERR_OUT() for it to be used in the future.
Afterwards, the branch can be merged.
