Title:
  Overly long heartbeat timeouts

Status in Host Identity Protocol for Linux:
  Fix Committed

Bug description:
During my test on a 32-bit Ubuntu 10.10 netbook, I experienced
heartbeat timeouts of 30-60 seconds. This is overly long and should be
shortened to a much lower value in order for the broken tunnel to be
  transparent to applications.
