Aloha,

I am so very grateful and overwhelmed by the support of LAC
members and community members who have been eager and
willing to help with distributing HIPP flyers, and
brochures! Mahalo.

Will each LAC please track monthly and report in the meeting
minutes re: the places that members are putting up flyers,
giving out brochures, and providing the request for services
form? This information is valuable to us and our funder as
it reflects on the collaboration between consortia and core
services.

We hope for your continued support as we rebuild momentum in
recruitment of women into HIPP.

PHNs and local project staff will also continue with HIPP
outreach for recruitment. We started distributing
flyers/brochures in Naalehu, Pahala and Ocean View. I saw
Dani Kennedy on Saturday and she will post flyers in North
and South Kohala. In addition to LAC efforts, outreach will
continue through PHNs as they participate in health fairs,
through their community contacts. We anticipate more formal
contacts with providers in rolling out services.

We recruited 2 women last Saturday morning at an outreach
event in Hilo.

While we intend to continue to distribute hard copies,
attached are:

1) A form for agencies to fax a referral to HIPP.

2) HIPP brochure

3) HIPP flyer with tear off contact number.

We are excited about the possibilities and opportunities for
the remainder of this fiscal year - possibly reaching for
the stars, but certainly will do as much as we can for our
women and our community. You will hear more about services,
training opportunities, project outputs. Your input and
feedback along the way will help to keep us on track.

Thank you very much for your support. Please contact me if
you have any questions.

Audrey
