Dear fellow HHSC members,
it was such a pleasure and fun to be back on the Hill for the past 2 weeks
and (re)connect with "old" and new members during that time and of course
the Picnic last Saturday.
50 passenger rides plus a handful personal flights incl. the 3 with my
granddaughter Clara -her very first flights in a glider- added to my
currency. Thank you very much for that opportunity and thus thank you to
the BoD for letting me fly and to Noah for the FR.
Special and huge thanks of course go to the Summer Ops crew: Joanie, Mitch,
Noah, Haven, Tim, Peter S, and the relentless ever busy and helping line
crew pictured in the attachment: Jessica, Megan, and Lucas -with Dan, one of
the picnic musicians, who finally got his log book recollected ;-)
Also thank you to Tom O and Ed for your patience (and courage) to be
chauffeured by Clara in the golf cart. Clara and her sister Olivia had a
blast at the Hill and the picnic
Since Wednesday morning we're back in Germany, where we were greeted by
Lufthansa with a cancelled flight from Frankfurt to Hannover. However the
two hours delay allowed us to witness Frankfurt airport to morph from quiet
at 5:30 am to the usual beehive through 9 am.
Weather here is not supporting airfield visit, tomorrow may be better to hop
in a plane at our field in Wienhausen-Oppershausen. By the way: Anyone
wanting to buy an ASW19.my club here is selling theirs.
As mentioned already, we may be back next year. But that depends upon some
personal aspects related where our youngest son may be at that time. Year
after next is much more likely.we'll see,
So, if someone should make it over here and wants to get launched to 1500 -
2000ft agl in less than a minute on our field here, just let me know..my
contact details are in the directory and below
