Hi, Keith, WB2VUO, and my report from the mobile didn't happen.
We arrived at an overlook in Wyoming County southeast of Buffalo, and whil
preparing to scan the band got a visit by a State Trooper and a local
Sherriff's patrol. One of the businesses near the site called us in saying
that we were casing the joint, and reporting this via CB radio.
It took 2 hours and several phone calls, but I convinced the trooper that
it was Ham Radio, not CB and I was only monitoring, not "broadcasting" to
some perp nearby. I had to call a ham who is a retired cop to vouch for
me...
Lost my momentum and went home. I will post a report, but from a park, not
alongside the road this time..
Actually, I did copy one beacon before the interuption:

Better luck tomottow?
