Awesome that you got some ID shots!

I can't see from the photo, but did the nearby COLO have any white showing
on the back? If not, then I think I saw the PALO yesterday evening between
the dam and the bridge.

The common and pacific were side by side for a bit but both preening so
hard to get a good comparison. In the only photo I got with both heads up,
the pacific is headed out of the frame quickly to the left. Note size
difference, the flat head of the common, and in the bottom picture, the
slender neck with a straight line of white compared to the common’s patchy
dark/white neck.
