I got to Gates-Bass, found the Black Scoter, and texted Mike, but he had
already found it earlier! haha! Great looks at the beautiful bird.

The boat ramp had good duck diversity this evening, but I never refound the
BLSC though.

Hoodies are increasing; our high count was double that (280) near the end
of January earlier this year. I will be leaving Sunday, but will be back
Friday evening for another duck count. I hope someone can fill in the other
other cold nights this upcoming week.

Hi all -
Earlier this afternoon I saw a pretty adult male Black Scoter on Sandy
River Reservoir, visible from SR 605 (Gates-Bass Rd.). The only other ducks
on the lake while I was there were 5 Ruddy Ducks.
South a little ways on Green Bay Road, there was a flock of American
Pipits in the fields across from Sharon Baptist Church -- 80 or more.
