I've attached several flyers that were distributed at August's Interagency Council Meeting. Please feel free to pass this information along to anyone who might be interested! Brief notes from August's meeting (if anyone spots an inaccuracy, please let me know!): Pennyroyal Hospice is once again hosting Taste of the Pennyrile on September 20, 2012. Please see the attached "save the date" card for more information. Jason Crabb (of the Crabb Family southern gospel group) will hold a benefit concert for the Red Cross on September 29. The concert will be held at Todd County Central High School. Tickets are $12 for regular seating and $15 for VIPs. For more information, please contact Melissa Hamilton at the Red Cross 270-885-5328. PACS is looking for participants for its Weatherization program and will begin taking applications for LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) in November. Habitat is looking for volunteers to help with the construction of a home at 1716 S. Campbell Street. Help will be needed on Saturday, 8/25 from 9a.m.-5p.m. If you can help, please call Jessie Quarles at 885-8222 in advance so that she will have an idea how many volunteers she'll need to feed! She also needs volunteers for the resale store located at 2401 Ft. Campbell Blvd. across from DJ's Discount Carpet. The store is open Thursday and Friday 9a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 9a.m.-4p.m. Again, if you can help out, just give Jessie a call! The September Interagency Council meeting will be held on Thursday 9/22 at noon at the DCBS office at 644 North Drive and will be co-sponsored by Sonjanita Jordan and Jessie Quarles. Please RSVP at your earliest convenience so these ladies will have a good head count, as they will be providing lunch for attendees. Thank you both very much for having us!!
